The road to the White House is apparently paved with tasty meats
Will Tim Kaine dine in all 48 of the contiguous United States before Election Day? Hillary Clinton's VP pick is certainly putting forth his best effort. Fresh off a North Carolina campaign stop that found him drinking craft beer and playing the harmonica, the Virginia senator took his appetite to Iowa and Kansas.
Yesterday Kaine's agenda included a visit to the Iowa State Fair, where according to Politico he posed for pictures in front of a butter sculpture of the Starship Enterprise and made dad jokes. Please, let that sentence fully digest for a moment, and also enjoy this photo:

Interestingly, Kaine also ate one of the very fair foods — a pork chop on a stick — that Donald Trump was photographed eating at last year's fair. (Perhaps Democrats and Republicans aren't so different after all.)
Then it was on to Kansas City, Kaine's hometown. There, says the Kansas City Star, he dined on the city's most famous cuisine, eating dinner with his parents at Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue. Kaine's choice of restaurants seemingly didn't go unappreciated by the locals:
Tim Kaine likes Jack Stack too?! I definitely want him as my VP!
